Getting to judgment

Notice through JP court hearing. The most common phase.

Pick e-file unless you have a clerk-instructed reason to walk it in.

Phase 2

Physical removal

Only needed if the tenant doesn't leave after judgment. Most cases stop at Phase 1.

Appeals

Only if the tenant appeals to county court. Rare — most cases resolve at the JP level.

Attorney representation in county court is required by law (TRCP 506.1). Both fees are flat-rate — no hourly surprises.

Filing county

Court charges its own filing fee. We pass it through at cost. No markup.
